Problem encountered
Insufficient heat homogeneity in a hot air drying furnace, due to a bad mixture between hot and cold air.
Objective
To improve homogeneity.
Solutions
- Tests by simulations of various geometries allowing to force the mixing between the two airflows, without substantially changing the conditions of use (airflow rate, load losses, temperatures…).
- 3D calculations, taking account of the dependence of the density and the air viscosity on temperature.
