Analysis of CO2 and moisture level in the air for Lyon St-Exupéry airport 's extension project
Issue
The Decree n°2011-1728 du 2/12/2011 obliges public access buildings's owners and operators to periodically monitor the indoor air quality through accredited agencies. In anticipation of such controls, the technical design office seeks to predict the water vapour and Co2 level into the airport.
Objective
Simulate water vapour and Co2 transfers in the areas where people are located in order to verify, according to ISO 7730 standard, the comfort level inside the airport.
Solution
Thermo-aeraulic simulations (Stationary 3D CFD calculations) for two weather scenarios in order to characterize air flows, especially the distribution of relative humidity and Co2 concentration rates.
