The ARPE project (Acoustics and vibration of vacuum pump) plan to reduce very significantly the noise of machines. This is particularly true for vacuum pumps used in microelectronic, in industrial markets (as land transports, aeronautics, defence, energy, mecatronics...), in R&D and in analytical instrumentation. This noise represents a real hindrance for using the machines near operators. The approach is built on a software development and its implementation on a prototype of silent pump.
